「 Systems of Grace 」 is an unofficial, general, SFW, physical zine focused on artistry and visual storytelling.As the title suggests, this zine will explore the Universe of Project Hail Mary throughout the different solar systems our hero, Dr. Ryland Grace, has explored: Sol, Tau Ceti, and 40 Eridani.With art and writing, we aim to explore the beauty of Project Hail Mary in both visuals and storytelling. Our zine focuses on fine arts, symbolism, and emotion; we want to achieve something that reminds audiences of the feelings Project Hail Mary evoked in them.❖ The Sol chapter will depict pre-mission life.
❖ The Tau Ceti chapter will focus on the Hail Mary mission period.
❖ The 40 Eridani chapter will show post-mission.While chapters are titled after places, they will be about time periods! Think of it as the titles coming from where Ryland Grace is at the time, as any character or location may be depicted.

What is a zine?

❖ No. This zine has an application system: you will be able to submit your application in the proper form, and if you are selected, then you will be required to make a new piece exclusive to the zine.Where can I apply?

Zine piece requirements
‣ Page artists: 1 full page or 1 full spread illustration, fully rendered.
‣ Comic artists: 1 full comic, page amount TBD, clean lineart, flat colors or grayscale, minimal shading appreciated.
‣ Merch artists: 1 complete piece or 1 complete set of merchandise ready for manufacturing. Items will be assigned with full info.
‣ Writers: 1 complete story in (wc) words or fewer.

Additionally, every applicant — except spot artists — will be required to provide a prompt/concept for the piece they would like to make for the zine. Four total prompts will be allowed, split across three possible chapters (refer to the introduction). For merch artists, prompts will be submitted per item and not per chapter.
PHM fanworks are not required to figure in your portfolio, but they are appreciated.
We wish every contributor to dedicate the proper time and effort to this project so it can become the best it can be; therefore, we will expect you to follow the guidelines, stick to the schedule, and maintain clear communication with the mod team.

How big will the zine be?
‣ The format will be X, with around X pages of content.How much merch will there be? How much will it cost?
‣ Bundle contents and prices will be revealed once the creation period is complete.
